The Public Service Commission is accepting applications to seek replacement for the following position:
POSITION TITLE: DIRECTOR OF IMMIGRATION
GRADE & SALARY:       PL-11/1 $21,000.00 Per Annum
MINISTRY: ATTORNEY GENERAL
LOCATION: Majuro, MH

DUTIES: Supervises and coordinates the enforcement of laws, rules and regulations relating to the rights and privileges of citizens, aliens, foreign vessels and aircrafts once such enforcement is required and
conducted with the jurisdiction of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Supervises overall day to day
operation of the Immigration Division. Informs ail consumed and general public concerning the laws and
policies of Nitijela and Cabinet pertaining to the regulations. Informs the Secretary of the Ministry
regarding overall operation of the Division. Coordinates with other Ministries on policies and laws
affecting alien workers. Manages and directs other employees of the Division re implementation of local
and international immigrations and emigration practices. Manages and controls the entry of person of
persons other than citizens of the Republic. Ensures that a filing system is in place and all individual filing
are to be treated confidential. Discharges the duties and responsibilities of the office of the Immigration
and Emigration controller. Informs the Secretary and the Minister re the entry into the Republic of
persons other than citizens of the Republic and forms matters pertaining to laws and policies of the
Republic of the Marshall Islands. Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. Graduated from a recognized college with a Bachelor degree
in Public Administration with three to five (3-5) months in specializing in the immigration law
enforcement- plus at least four (4) years of work experience in the field. OR. any combination of
education and experience, which may be acceptable to the Public Service Commission.
