DUTIES: Primarily assists the Chief Secretary, in the general oversight of the work of the Public Service
and other agencies in Kwajalein, as assigned to or by the Chief Secretary. The post is responsible to the
Chief Secretary, in collaboration with the PSC, for the management and the development of the human
resources in the Ebeye Public Service through the respective Ebeye Ministry and Agency heads.
Represents the Chief Secretary at conferences and meetings. Works and or coordinates with USAKA
Liaison Officer on government activities at Kwajalein atoll. Reviews, studies, and analyzes operational
procedures in a specialized administrative areas as directed by the Chief Secretary. Prepares detailed and
comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations in the specialized area. Assists in the preparation
of budget requests, compile fiscal and statistical area. Coordinates with the Public Service Commission
through (the Chief Secretary in the interpretation and delivery of Public Service regulations and
administrative policy and relay instructions of policy and procedure revision. Supervises and performs
administrative assignments in a variety of areas such as personnel, finance, supply, budget or other
specialties. Receives inquiries from the public by letter, telephone, or in person and furnish lor use in
preparation of speeches or reports. Performs other related duties as may assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. Graduated from a recognized college or university with a
master's degree plus 3 years of related work experience, or a bachelor degree in public administration plus
five (4) years of work experience. OR. any combination of education and experience, which may be
acceptable to the Public Service Commission.
